5 Christmases

We had a very busy holiday. Ava's first Christmas turned into 5 Christmases. One with my Mom, one with my Dad, one at my Grandma's, one with Graham's Parents and one with Graham's Aunt and Uncle all spread over 3 days. Unfortunately (or lucky for you if you're checking Ava's blog and are short on time) I forgot my camera to Christmas Eve at Graham's parent and I have yet to receive the copies of the pictures I was promised, (hint, hint- Peter and Alissa) so there are only 4 Christmases worth of pictures here. Since I'm getting over a stomach bug and I'm feeling lazy they are in absolutely no particular order.

Ava found her hands this week and has been sucking them non stop since!

Christmas trees make for the BEST mobiles!

Bumbo!

The high outside has been all of 2 degrees with lows of -19 degrees so we've been hankering down at home to wait out the cold. Ava is getting stronger every day so I thought today was a good day to try out the Bumbo that Grandma Dale and Grandpa Mark got her at our baby shower. Ava was actually able to sit up in it for a few minutes before her head got too heavy to hold up. It's just a matter of time before she can actually use it!

Deck the Hall's!

Today Ava went out and braved the subzero temps to visit our new neighbors, Katie, Jason and their VERY energetic 12 week old Labradoodle puppy, Maverick at their housewarming/ Christmas party. She dressed up in her festive wear for the occasion! See those shoes? I made them!

Unfortunately, Daddy had a horrible cold so we didn't stay long or get too may pictures.

Christmas in Windsor

Ava got to make her longest trip yet- a drive to Windsor for her first Christmas party. She did great! She had a super long night of being passed around and cuddled by lots of people and was in the middle of a very loud Pictionary and white Elephant and wasn't the least bit phased by the noise! She was even very well mannered when Daddy decided he wanted to stay and play in a Wii tournament until 1:30 am. The drive home was a bit hairy, with super cold temps, snow and wind that caused white out conditions for a good portion of the drive home. We got home at 3 am and Ava was still in good spirits! What a trooper she is!

2 Days
Weight- 6 lbs 4 oz
(down 9% from birth)

5 Days

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas!

I'm a total DIYer. Regardless if it's home improvement, cooking or crafts I seem to think I (and by that I mean Graham or my Mom) can do it better and cheaper. So naturally the same held true when it came time to take some x-mas photos of Ava. I set up a little 'set' in her crib and went to town! See, who needs a photographer and a fancy camera when you have garland, lights a few cute outfits and a point and shoot?

A few to show off Ava's cute CD (Cloth diapers) that she's still working on filling out. I wish these ones turned out cuter, my poor photography skills shine through here. Oh well.

And, one to show it wasn't all smiles and sunshine. I think I took over 200 pictures to just get a handfull of good pictures!

Moblie

Ava got a new mobile that matches her bedding over the weekend. She just stares and stares at it! It's so fun seeing things capture and hold her interest now.

Not only is Ava totally taken by it, it looks so pretty in her room too!
